Event Recap
It’s good to work in an industry where a familiar face can turn a walk across the show floor into a proper catch-up. We had plenty of those moments at MFASC 2026, along with the chance to introduce our Metal Finishing Solutions portfolio to the community. California Chemical exhibited at the 44th Annual MFASC Conference & Suppliers Showcase on September 15 at Quiet Cannon in Montebello. The evening brought suppliers and finishing professionals together for education, networking and a closer look at the products and services available to the industry.
For our team, it was a chance to spend time with the people who make the purchasing and process decisions. There’s value in hearing how someone describes their own operation, what they’re considering and what they need from a supplier. It gives the conversation context that a product list alone can’t provide.
Our display featured chemistry for several stages of metal finishing, including soak and electro cleaners, powder cleaners for steel, aluminum pretreatment products, and aluminum etch and deox products. These are part of the portfolio we’ve introduced for manufacturers working across sectors such as metal fabrication, automotive, aerospace and industrial equipment.
With several product categories to explore, the useful starting point is narrowing down what’s relevant to a particular operation. Someone reviewing a cleaning stage may need a different discussion from someone evaluating pretreatment options. We want to understand that distinction early so the information we share is worth their time.
Personalized formulation support and technical assistance were also part of the offering we presented. For anyone considering a change, there’s room to discuss the existing process, the requirements an option would need to meet and the information needed before making a decision. Those details deserve attention, and an introduction at the show can be the beginning of that work. MFASC also made room for the wider business of finishing. Training sessions, the reception and dinner gave attendees opportunities to learn and spend time together beyond the exhibition displays. We appreciate having an event that brings those parts of the industry into the same room.
To the customers, friends and colleagues who visited us: we enjoyed seeing you. Thank you for taking time out of your evening to talk with the team and explore the portfolio. And thank you to the Metal Finishing Association of Southern California for hosting everyone in Montebello.
Now that the displays are packed away, we’re available to pick up those discussions. Send us a note about the part of your process you’re reviewing.
